Anthony Joshua could face Jarrell Miller at MSG in 2019
Unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua sat ringside for the Canelo Alvarez vs Rocky Fielding fight.
Apparently, New York and “The Garden” made a big impression on the undefeated heavyweight champion.
Joshua’s already locked-in ring return for April 13 may not take place as previously planned. 3kingsboxing.com has learned that Joshua is seriously contemplating fighting Jarrell Miller here in the states for his next fight.
This wouldn’t come as a complete surprise as Joshua and Miller have been linked for a potential fight for quite some time now. Miller (23-0-1, 20KOs) has been adamant when it comes to facing the unified champion.
The two men even came face to face during the DAZN launch announcement in July. That verbal confrontation was perhaps just a small glimpse of things to come.
Joshua and Wilder are currently in talks to try and come to an agreement for a mega undisputed clash. However, popular opinion is that we’ll see the British champion face the winner of Dillian Whyte vs Derek Chisora.
In addition, there have been rumblings of cruiserweight king Oleksandr Usyk moving to heavyweight for the fight.
As for Wilder, most industry insiders expect him to face Tyson Fury in a rematch of their exciting fight on December 1, which ended in a controversial draw.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor what Jooshua will do next and provide any updates as they become available.
