Joyce Gets New Opponent at Last Minute

Haye prospect looks to continue rise to prominence


There has been a change of opponent for heavyweight prospect Joe Joyce (4-0, 4KOs), who returns tomorrow.

Originally scheduled to face Richard Lartey (12-1, 9KOs) of Ghana, Joyce will now instead face Ivica Bacurin (29-13, 18KOs).Bacurin has been in the with Carlos Takam and more noticeably former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew getting stopped in the tenth round of their fight.

Regardless of the late change in opponent for Joyce it’s expected that he still gets the job done and moves forward with the progression of his career.

Joyce has called out the likes of Bryant Jennings, Jarrell Miller, Hughie Fury and Derek Chisora. A win here and all those fights get closer to being a realization for the young Joyce.
