Justis Huni Continues His Climb Up the Heavyweight Ladder

Justis “The Apex Predator” Huni (10-0, 5 KOs) is considered the man to beat in heavyweight boxing in his native country of Australia. He’s now hungry to become a known quantity on the world level. Willing to fight anyone his handlers put in front of him, could his next fight be against the winner of the August 3 contest between Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson (17-0, 16 KOs) and Martin Bakole (21-1, 15 KOs)?

On July 25 at the Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, Huni scored a second-round stoppage over Troy “The Titan” Pilcher. The Titan was in attack mode in the early rounds, attempting to make the fight a war.

But Huni stayed calm and composed, and made the adjustments by the end of the round, landing with hard body blows. Round two saw him batter and pummel Pilcher. A series of power shots from Huni finished matters with forty seconds left in the round.

WHO COULD BE NEXT IN LINE?

Insiders think highly of Huni and believe he’s one of the best up-and-coming young heavyweights in the world. Currently ranked ninth by the WBO, fans on social media are already speculating about who is next for The Apex Predator.

Huni and Anderson have sparred with one another. Both men feel they are the future of the heavyweight division. Should Anderson take care of business against Bakole, The Real Big Baby could fight Huni by the end of this year. Both fighters have a business relationship with Turki Alashikh’s Riyadh Season boxing series. With Anderson currency ranked fourth by the WBO, a battle between the two would possibly be a WBO world title eliminator.
