George Kambosos Says He’ll Be More Dangerous in Haney Rematch

On October 16, former unified 135-pound champion “Ferocious” George Kambosos (20-1, 10KOs) will attempt to become undisputed champion when he faces off with Devin “The Dream” Haney (29-0, 15KOs). This will be a rematch of their June 5 fight in which The Dream completely dominated the former unified champion.

While the first fight didn’t thrill fight fans, the two men will run it back since Ferocious evoked his rematch clause. The temperament of the former champion is completely different this time around. Leading up to the first bout, he was extremely boisterous and confident that he would be victorious. However, now he seems mild-mannered. Some could even suggest a slight lack of confidence. But if you ask him, he’s dangerous because he has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

“When someone loses something, when they lose everything, actually, they become dangerous because they have nothing to lose after that. So everything is on the line for me and I’m just excited to be in there again and give the fans a great show.”

While not many fans are looking forward to this rematch, for Kambosos, he has a chance to redeem himself in front of his home country. The task won’t be easy and, provided the changing demeanor of Ferocious, he knows better than anyone.
