Katie Taylor responds to Amanda Serrano
There was a fight that took place on Sunday June 28, 2020. Generally, it’s a day most relax and prepare the mind for another mentally challenging week. That wasn’t the case in this situation, as seven-divisional female champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (38-1-1, 28ko) took to social media and lit it up. The well-known Puerto Rican boxer was taking names, and dropping the mic on everyone involved in the reason behind her decision for pulling out of the mega-fight with undisputed lightweight champion Katie “KT” Taylor (15-0, 6ko).
The Real Deal kicked things off. Instantly, it became a viral social media drama session. It turned into a sequel when promoters Lou Dibella and Eddie Hearn started airing out the dirty laundry.
Furthermore, Serrano wasn’t afraid to tag her potential dance partner.
Well, by now, everyone should know how this works. These are fighters; regardless of how nice their demeanor may seem, call-outs are not something they take lightly.
Taylor got pulled into the mix and the undisputed champion responded with a simple statement that ended with a challenging question.
The undisputed champion is making it abundantly clear she is ready to get this fight in the books. All that’s left is for Amanda Serrano to be on board so that this saga can be brought to its conclusion.
