Kyoguchi Has Zero Problems in Move to Light Flyweight

Kyoguchi gets an impressive victory in a new division

Undefeated former IBF Minimumweight Champion Hiroto Kyoguchi’s (11-0, 8KO) first fight at new division was impressive! He destroyed undefeated WBA #6 rated contender Tibo Monabesa (18-0-2, 8KO) in four rounds.

3kingsboxing previously reported the former champion was looking to move up, citing issues with making weight along with sub-par performances.

The 24 year-old is highly ranked within three of the four major sanctioning bodies for good reason. It is safe to say that moving up in weight has returned the hard-hitting fighter back to form.

INTERESTING FACT

After winning the IBF title, Kyoguchi became the fastest Japanese fighter to win a title after entering the professional ranks. He did it within the span of one year and three months.

There are some great match-ups that await the young fighter. Current lineal champion at the weight Hekkie Budler would be an excellent match-up. In addition, former lineal champion Ryoichi Taguchi is still looking for a dance partner. However, the winner between WBC champion Ken Shiro and Milan Melindo would probably be the more likely choice.

Whatever the next move may be, Kyoguchi put the light flyweight division on notice!
