The Light Heavyweight scene was once plagued by less than stellar competition. As of late, however, the weight class is quickly shaping up and showing the potential to be very exciting.

The division not only plays host to IBF champion Artur Beterbiev (12-0), WBA champion Dmitry Bivol (14-0), WBC champion Adonis Stevenson (29-1-1), and WBO champion Eledier Alvarez (24-0), but also boasts an exciting list of fighters that includes Badou Jack (22-1-3) , Oleksandr Gvozdyk (15-0), Marcus Browne (22-0), and Anothy Yarde (16-0). Evidently, there is no shortage of interesting match-up possibilities.

The momentum began to build earlier this year when Adonis Stevenson squared off against former WBC Super Middleweight champion, Badou Jack. The two collided in a dramatic tug-of-war affair that ultimately ended in a draw, but indeed sparked viewers’ interest.

The young champion Dmitry Bivol has shown the skills, demeanor, and punching power to entice fans. His demolition of Sullivan Barrera and first-round knockout of Trent Broadhurst has many believing he is the future.

Artur Beterbiev possesses power in both hands. The IBF champion can create excitement at any given moment with one punch. He will undoubtedly look to impress fans on October 6th when he takes on Callum Johnson.

Newly crowned WBO champion Eleider Alvarez not only shocked fans, but shook up the division with his unexpected victory over Sergey Kovalev this past weekend.

Pitting all of these names together in any order is a recipe for success and entertainment.
