Vasiliy Lomachenko keeps fueling a fight with Gervinta Davis!
Lightweight unified champion Vasyl (Vasiliy) Lomachenko has been calling out Gervonta “Tank” Davis for a while now. However, he has taken the call out to a new level in stating he would fight the WBA junior lightweight champion for free!
“I can fight with him for free, I don’t need the money. I can fight him for my goal, but he’ll never step in the ring for free. Never!”

It seems like Lomachenko is turning up the heat to secure this bout. Although I’m sure the unified champion would never fight for free, he is willing to portray through his words that he will do what it takes to get in the ring with Davis.
This is a super fight and one which the 31 year-old Lomachenko would want sooner rather than later. By comparison, “Tank”, who is only 24, has said before he will take the fight when he is ready.
However, the unified champion does not seem too intent on waiting and has been pressing for this fight a little bit more in these past few months.
He has gone as far as to throw “Tank” Davis’ promoter Floyd Mayweather’s name in the middle of this, claiming he is scared to put his fighter in the ring with him.
Lomachenko fights Anthony Crolla April 12 on ESPN. How he looks in this fight could have an influence on a possible bout with Davis down the road!
