Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell is On
After two canceled schedule purse bids, Ryan “KingRy” Garcia (20-0, 17KOs) and Luke Campbell (20-3, 16KOs) have reached an agreement! The #3 and #2 (respectively) WBC contenders will meet live on DAZN. A date is still in the works with November being the target month.
Garcia is a rising lightweight contender and seen as “the next big thing” under the Golden Boy Promotions. Blessed with tremendous hand speed, athleticism and punching power the confident Californian will be taking on the toughest opponent of his young career…by far!
A former Olympic Gold medalist, Campbell is also a two-time world title challenger. Having fought top contenders like unified champ Vasyl Lomachenko, three-division champion Jorge Linares and top contender Yvan Mendy, he brings an overwhelming amount of experience in this match-up.
On the line will be the WBC interim lightweight title and the right to become the mandatory challenger for champion Devin Haney (24-0,15KOs).
This will be a “must see” bout as both men have their eyes on a bid for a major title!
