Magramo continues to looks impressive
Giemel Magramo (22-1, 18KOs) easily defeats replacement opponent Petchchorhae Kokietgym (17-2, 8KOs) in hunt for another title shot.
It became obvious from the opening bell there was a huge difference in skill and experience.
The 24 year-old Magramo made short work of his over-matched opponent. He demonstrated superior ring intelligence by using his height and reach advantage. His straight right hand found a home against the southpaw from Thailand and would effectively end the fight in the third round with a vicious body shot.
This is his first successful defense of the WBO Oriental flyweight after a very close unanimous decision loss in 2016 against Muhammad Waseem. He has been on a five fight win streak since; demolishing every opponent.
INTERESTING FACTS
Magramo is a former WBC International flyweight champion. His only loss came when he traveled outside of his home country for the first time.
The top ten rated boxer will be looking to make a move for a major title shot in 2019 following this impressive performance. The lower weight division historically lacks attention, however, recently there has been interest in these fighters.
