Martin Makes A Statement With Barthelemy KO
In a super lightweight bout, Frank “The Ghost” Martin obliterated veteran Rances Barthelemy in a blistering fourth-round knockout. This was Martin’s first time fighting since his June 15, 2024, loss to Gervonta Davis. This eye-catching win should go a long way in catapulting his name back into regular boxing circles.
Having been out of action for a long time, coming off a loss, and competing in a new division, The Ghost is not ranked in the top 15 of any of the four major sanctioning bodies. With this being the case, he will have his work cut out to begin climbing back up the rankings. Unfortunately for him, Barthelemy was not ranked either, so claiming his scalp will probably not aid him significantly in this endeavor.
For the time being, it’s unknown what direction Team Martin will head in next. While conducting his post-fight in-ring interview, The Ghost made it clear that he wanted to challenge all the top competitors in the division. However, he did call out IBF champion Richardson Hitchins. With that being the case, we will just have to wait to see what is next for The Ghost.
