Frank Martin Predicts Errol Spence Stoppage Win Over Yordenis Ugas!
Rising unbeaten lightweight contender Frank Martin, who’s promoted by and trains with unified 147-pound champion Errol Spence (27-0, 21KOs), has been impressed with what he’s seen from the champ during his preparation for the bout with WBA champion Yordenis Ugas. Speaking with Fight Hype, Martin revealed how sharp Spence looked in camp. He also is on record picking the Texas native to win by stoppage over Ugas.
SPENCE LOOKS SHARP!
“He’s sharp! He’s been sharp all camp. I’m talking about being locked in and focused. He was really sharp. For the preparation, I give it an A plus.”
“Everybody like, ‘is the old E back?’ I think they’re going to see a new, whole different type of Errol Spence come out of this fight.”

Clearly the work has been put in by Spence, who was accompanied this training camp by a nutritionist. This is something he’s been lacking in past training camps. Spence, who was ripped and shredded at the weigh-in, has expressed supreme confidence that he’s going to dominate his Cuban counterpart when the two step into the ring on April 16.
SPENCE FOR THE STOPPAGE?!
“Man, I think he’s going to get a stoppage! […] a seven-round stoppage; you know the way he trained, he ready!”
Having been in camp with Spence, staying sharp himself, Martin feels like “The Truth” will simply be too much for Ugas and secure a stoppage victory. Given how good and formidable an opponent Ugas is, predicting a seventh-round stoppage is audacious. However, with Spence feeling great mentally and physically, a chance to pick up his third welterweight belt and fight in front of his hometown fans again has to give him more than enough motivation to get the job done.
