Maxim Vlasov vs Joe Smith Jr postponed!
Everyone looking forward to seeing Joe Smith Jr (26-3, 21KOs) and Maxim Vlasov (45-3, 26KOs) clash for the vacant WBO Light Heavyweight title will have to wait longer. Vlasov tested posted for COVID-19, resulting in the postponement of the fight. This is a big blow to both men. Each spent months in training camp preparing for this huge moment.
As of this writing, there is no word on a potential rescheduled date for the fight. Former IBF Lightweight champion Richard Commey (29-3, 26KOs) and Jackson Marinez (19-1, 7KOs) will now be the main event. Commey v Marinez was originally set as the co-main event. Also on the card is Adam Lopez v Jason Sanchez and rising heavyweight prospect Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson, who will face off against Kingsley Ibeh.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates on when a new date for Smith and Vlasov is available.
