Mikaela Mayer Promises Dominant Victory in Baumgardner Unification!
All the bad blood between unified 130-pound champion Mikaela Mayer (18-0, 5KOs) and WBC champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (12-1, 7KOs) will boil over on October 15. Both ladies have developed a genuine dislike of one another, and both have expressed confidence that they will be victorious.
Mayer, the pre-fight favorite, has expressed her dislike and annoyance for Baumgardner. She’s also extremely confident that she will handle the hard-hitting champ with ease once the two are in the ring.
After the final pre-fight press conference, Mayer sat down with Behind The Gloves and had the following to say:
“I’m going to embarrass her. This girl, the only chance she has is to knock me out. That is the only chance she has. Because I’m the better fighter, I’m the more conditioned fighter, I’m the more well-rounded fighter, I can fight in all areas of the ring. So if she doesn’t knock me out, she’s screwed. She better do it, she better do it quick.”
