Mayweather to pay for George Floyd’s Funeral
Boxing fans know Floyd Mayweather Jr (50-0, 27KOs) as a tremendous athlete and one of the greatest boxers to ever grace a boxing ring. Known for his confidence, brash trash talk and flashy style, the now-retired Mayweather has accumulated millions of dollars in the sport of boxing.
Often criticized for his out-of-the-ring antics, one thing that he has always done was give back. For example, he paid for the funeral of former opponent and world champion Genaro Hernandez, who died of cancer in 2011 (38-2-1, 17KOs). Mayweather defeated Hernandez in October of 1998 to win his first world title.
LATEST GOOD DEED!
In his latest good deed, he will be paying for the funeral of George Floyd, a black man who was murdered by a cop in Minnesota on May 25. The death of George Floyd has sparked major backlash, due to the circumstances of the murder.
Kudos to Floyd Mayweather for stepping up to the plate, helping out the Floyd family in this time of need.
