Bomac McIntyre Debunks Crawford versus Eubank Jr. Rumors
When his high stakes rematch with Errol Spence Jr. was scrapped, the big question became: who will unified welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (40-0, 31 KO’s) face next? Yet, some fans became indignant when it was suggested that the three-division champion would take on UK pugilist Chris Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24 KO’s). In an effort to bring clarity to the situation, Crawford’s chief second, Brian “Bomac” McIntyre, spoke to ThaBoxingVoice.
“It’s fake news, man. I don’t know who put that out there. Somebody said that Eubank did. He could just be playing or something like that. But anyway, Bud stays in the gym. So, if anything comes his way, he will be ready for it.”
It makes sense that McIntrye would be in the loop of information considering that he has begun functioning as Eubank’s chief second as well! Yet, let Bomac tell it, neither Bud nor Eubank have any fight on the books or anything close to being signed at the moment. So, for the time being, we’ll just have to wait and hope that we get a big announcement regarding both athletes sooner rather than later.
