IBO female lightweight champion Chantelle Cameron reaches a deal with MTK Global
The former Team GB star has already blasted to 8-0-KO5 since joining the paid ranks and also holds the WBC Silver belt, with many eagerly anticipating a potential unification showdown with Irish rival Katie Taylor in the future.
“I’m so pleased to have joined MTK Global, who are doing great things for so many fighters across the world.
“It was an easy decision to make and I’m really excited about the future now. I want to keep on pushing forward and for the fights I’m in to get bigger and bigger. I know my new team can deliver that.
“The end goal is to unify the division and that involves the fight so many people want to see – myself in with Katie Taylor. That would be huge for women’s boxing and I’d relish the chance.
“I plan to be as active as possible in 2019 and I just can’t wait to get started now this deal is done.”
Chantelle Cameron
“We are elated Chantelle has chosen to join the team and we welcome her knowing we can help her realise her dreams.
“Female boxing is hitting new heights all the time and the lightweight division is arguably its most competitive. We are proud to be working with one of its leading lights and we know things are only going to get bigger and better from here.”
