Jaime Munguia to headline HBO card on December 8.
News has just surfaced that Jaime Munguia may headline a December 8 card that’ll air on HBO. Don’t double back, you read that right! The only thing that shouldn’t be a surprise here is the shock value.
This may be shocking for a few reasons. First, there’s how soon this is happening following HBO’s announcement last week. The network will leave boxing after this months IBF middleweight title fight between Daniel Jacobs and Sergei Dervachenko. Secondly, Canelo Alvarez is expected to return in December – potentially against David Lemieux; a fight HBO stated they would consider televising.
However, the news that the WBO junior middleweight champion Munguia will headline a card is certain to bring more questions that will people will definitely want answers to.
There’s no word yet on who Munguia will be facing on December 8.
