Jaime Munguia welcomes a unification bout with junior middleweight kingpin Jarrett Hurd
The hard hitting Mexican Champion who recently made the first defense of his WBO title against Liam smith is currently preparing for a title defense against Brandon Cook. That fight will take place on the Golovkin vs Alvarez undercard.
While focused on the task at hand, Munguia made it clear that he’s more than willing to unify with Hurd. Before his fight with Smith, Hurd called him out on social media saying he would gladly take his titles.
When told of the comments made by Hurd this is what Munguia had to say.
“That sounds good. Whatever the people want and ask for I will give them. I am not afraid of him. Whenever he wants I will fight with him.”
Meanwhile, While Jermell Charlo still lingers out there for Hurd; a match-up many people want to see the most at 154. One can only get excited at the thought of Hurd-Munguia happening in what would be sure to be an all-action slugfest.
