Boxing is back in Sin City!
After months of inactivity due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, lovers of combat sports can breath a big sigh of relief. Boxing and UFC fans can rejoice, as the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) approved unanimously for events to take place in Las Vegas again.
For the UFC, their planned May 30 UFC fight night event will go as scheduled, as well as their UFC 250 event on June 6.
As for boxing, Top Rank’s two upcoming June shows are also a go, as their June 9 and 11 event dates will move forward. The approval means that WBO featherweight champion Shakur “Fearless” Stevenson will return to the squared circle for the first time since defeating Joet Gonzalez (23-1, 14KOs) in October. He will be facing Felix Caraballo (13-1-2, 9KOs) in the main event on June 9.
All events will be held without fans in attendance to prevent further spreading the COVID-19 disease.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
