PBC Could Be Planning Manny Pacquiao vs Gervonta Davis
Judging by the recent moves of Premier Boxing Champion, they could be working on a bout between multi-divisional champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao.
The boxing world has been buzzing after news that Pac Man is looking to return to the ring against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios. The Texan is viewed by many as the weakest champion in the division. In addition, his draw against Abel Ramos has many boxing fans believing Barrios is ripe for the picking.
Davis is under heavy scrutiny after failing to look impressive against Lamont Roach Jr. Moreover, his taking a knee, which wasn’t counted as a knockdown, was a bad look for the Baltimore power puncher. It was believed that a rematch would take place as both fighters called for it. However, things have been quiet as of late. Word on the rumor mill is the fight may not happen.
If Pac Man beats Barrios, there is a chance PBC could look to stage a mega-financial showdown with Davis. It makes perfect sense when looking at all the pieces on the board.
