Caleb Plant Crucifies Edgar Berlanga For Superstar Claims!

Well, it appears that one-time super middleweight champion Caleb “Sweethands” Plant (22-2, 13 KO’s) will not stop needling rival Edgar “The Chosen One” Berlanga (22-0, 17 KO’s). The two have remained in a war of words that Plant would love to culminate into a formal prizefight. Whether that happens remains to be seen, yet either way it’s clear that Sweethands will continue his focused hazing.

In his latest drive-by verbal assault, Plant took aim at both The Chosen One’s resume and popularity.

YOU COMING OUT OR NOT?!

When Berlanga initially launched his professional career, he was able to score 16 consecutive knockouts. This feat turned out to be a gift and a curse. On the front end, it was wonderful due to all the fabulous attention that he garnered from boxing fans and casuals alike. Yet, when he stopped getting the stoppages and even began to show his limitations in the ring, The Chosen One lost a significant amount of hype and attention.

While Berlanga may not like the notion, it doesn’t change the fact he has never truly had a meaningful big time fight. That would change in a hurry if he were to pen a duel with Plant. It is worth mentioning though that The Chosen One is trying to hold out for a fall showdown with undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

Provided that he does not get that match-up, then he could do a whole lot worse than a showdown with Caleb Plant! So, let’s see what’s in story for the next chapter of this percolating feud.
