Alexander Povetkin-Michael Hunter in Play for December 7
The December 7 card for Andy Ruiz-Anthony Joshua 2 may be in store for an additional heavyweight bout.3kingsboxing.com has learned that former WBA regular heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin could battle top heavyweight contender Michael Hunter in December.
According to Povetkin’s promoter Andrey Ryabinsky, an agreement has been reached but, not yet finalized. However, he expects a deal to go through.
Potentially, this fight will go a long way in determining the winner’s world title prospects. Both men rank in the WBA, Povetkin and Hunter rank number 5 and 6, respectively.
Hunter is coming off an impressive performance on September 13. He earned a unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Sergey Kuzmin.
For his case, Povetkin won a much-needed unanimous decision victory over Hughie Fury on August 31.
