Regis Prograis Expecting An Epic Battle with Jose Zepeda
It’s fight week for former WBA super 140-pound champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (27-1, 23 KOs) and world title challenger Jose “Chon” Zepeda (35-2, 27 KOs). The two will clash November 26 in Carson, California, for the vacant WBC junior welterweight title.

THINGS GET INTENSE!
As with most fight-week face-offs, fighters seem to get much more dialed in and focused, which oftentimes leads to very intense moments. In other cases, it’s the teams of each respective fighter that get involved more than the fighters themselves. That’s exactly what happened when Prograis and Zepeda came face-to-face. While the fighters were respectful, the teams went back and forth.
PROGRAIS FOCUSED ON THE TASK AT HAND!
Having been on the big stage before, Prograis didn’t let the intense energy from Zepeda’s team get him riled up. The Louisana native is supremely focused on the task at hand, which is becoming the WBC champion. In the aftermath, he spoke about what went down at the final pre-fight press conference.
“Listen, bro, everybody’s got high intention right now. His team, my team, everybody’s got high intention right now, so that’s what’s going to happen. But at the end of the day, it’s only going to be me and him in the ring, and that’s what I’m focused on.”
With only a few days left before this terrific fight, the time is now to lock in on your opponent and the task at hand. With Prograis’ experience on this level, his reaction, or lack thereof, shouldn’t come as a surprise.
