Regis Prograis Warns Devin Haney to Beware of his Skill!
Unified lightweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (30-0, 15 KO) and WBC junior welterweight champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (29-1, 24KO) engaged in a fiery exchange during the press conference.
Ever since the announcement of The Dream vs Rougarou fight scheduled for December 9, both fighters have been trading sharp words on social media. Tensions flared during the press conference, with Prograis’ strength and conditioning coach squaring off against Haney and his father, Bill Haney.
BOTH FIGHTERS ARE FULL OF CONFIDENCE
Once tempers had cooled, both fighters had their say, making their case for a victory. Rougarou emphasized that he possesses more than just power.
“I believe I have the power to take anybody out . . . I don’t want to say too much, but I think he’s going to be surprised at the skill. I’ve been working my ass off, bruh. It’s not going to be skill versus power, it’s going to be skill versus skill.”

Haney responded to Prograis’ assertion that they only accepted the fight due to Rougarou’s unimpressive performance against Danielito Zorrilla.
“I called out Regis Prograis way before, not way before, but I called him out before he even fought his last fight . . . This was the fight I wanted at 140, if I couldn’t secure one of the big fights at 135 . . . Whether he looked good or not, it didn’t matter.”
