Regis Prograis ready to beat up Josh Taylor.

Back on April 27, 2019, WBA super lightweight champion Regis Prograis impressively advanced to the finals of the World Boxing Super Series prestigious tournament.

The New Orleans native accomplished this feat by stopping Kiryl Relikh by TKO within six rounds. Across the bracket, Josh Taylor defeated Ivan Baranchyk by way of UD to advance himself to the finals.

Now, Prograis and Taylor must face off to see who will emerge as the superior boxer and tournament victor.

Recently, Rougarou took the opportunity to grant Elie Sechback of EsNews a brief interview. During the truncated inquiry, Prograis expressed his fondness of Taylor. However, he also expressed his willingness to rough him up in their fast approaching showdown!

After Taylor defeated Baranchyk, Prograis entered the ring and the two men went face-to-face in a good-natured, and very long, stare down.

As it turns out, the two future foes wound up hitting the town together once they left the arena.

“We went to the casino after that. We went right to the casino and I was sitting with him [Taylor] at the same table, with him, his family, his girlfriend.

“His girlfriend was talking to me for like thirty minutes […] real cool people. I don’t dislike him.”

Yet, make no mistake about it. Once in the ring, the destructive Louisianan puncher will not let his fond feelings distract him from the task at hand.

When they square off come fight night, Prograis has every intention of brutally dismantling the undefeated the Scottish bruiser.

“Josh Taylor, I’m going to kick your ass boy! I’m going to whoop his ass, that’s all I’m going to tell […] Josh. I hope you got what I got, because guess what? I train every day and I’m going to whoop the shit out of you.

“I’m going to make Scottish soup or whatever they call it!”

Prograis had to admit that no date and time had been set for his impending clash with Josh Taylor. Although, he is anxious to throw blows.

Hopefully, all the behind the scenes litigation will be concluded swiftly so that this fun bout and meaningful tournament can reach its final conclusion.
