Jose Ramirez vs Maurice Hooker unification possible!

3kingsboxing.comhas learned that a junior welterweight unification between WBC champion Jose Ramirez and WBO champion Maurice Hooker is in the works.

Ramirez hopes his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank will allow the fight to happen. Also, Eddie Hearn, who promotes Hooker, has revealed that he’s made an offer to Arum for the fight to take place on DAZN.

Ramirez (24-0, 16KOs) is coming off an action-packed majority decision over Jose Zepeda back in February. Hooker (26-0-3, 17KOs) is coming off a dominant one-sided unanimous decision over Mikkel LesPierre.

Both guys have expressed interest in unification fights, and an agreement between these two champions would signify how serious these guys are about unifying the division.

This match-up would pit two tall, rangy, solid power-punchers against each who have yet to taste defeat. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that a deal comes to fruition.
