Is Raul Rosas Jr The Next UFC Star In The Making?

UFC fans have been waiting with bated breath to see what’s on the cards for seventeen year old phenom Raul “El Nino Problema” Rosas Jr. It’s not every day that a fighter enters the spotlight at such a young age, creates a buzz and has the whole sport watching him.

That’s exactly what Rosas Jr has managed to do, as he is on the verge of making UFC history, if he can get a contract. His situation has fans, fighters and the UFC organization in general incredibly excited.

So, let’s take a look at everything we know about Rosas Jr’s potential future, and what has brought him to this point.

THE ENTIRE SPORT IS WATCHING

To say that Rosas Jr has grabbed the attention of everyone involved in the sport, including fans of the
UFC, feels like an understatement. Just imagine the infusion of fun and excitement fans will have should the UFC sign Rosas Jr. Not only will it encourage them to watch his matches but they may feel inspired to check out the UFC betting sites and take their fun and engagement to the next level.

Signing fresh, young fighters is what helps to keep the sport exciting and ensures the fan base continues to grow. There’s no denying that Dana White, president of the UFC, is well aware of Rosas Jr’s appeal, potential and skill, and is considering what this could mean for the sport and its profits. Proving the point that Rosas Jr is already on White’s radar, he has been signed to fight in the popular Dana White’s Contender Series.

ROSAS JR’S CREDENTIALS

So what accolades does Rosas Jr currently have to his name? He has now fought in five professional
matches, which is extremely impressive when you take into account the fact that he is only seventeen years old. He has managed to defeat each of his opponents. More impressively, four of five wins have come within the first round, three of which were submissions.

As for where Rosas Jr has fought, each of his fights has been at the Ultimate Warrior Challenge, which
takes place in Mexico.

A LOT IS RIDING ON THE CONTENDER SERIES

During Dana White’s Contender Series, he is slated to fight Mando Gutierrez, who is also in the
bantamweight division on September 20. Rosas Jr is likely looking at the series as a way to impress White further, prove his skills and hopefully earn a UFC contract. Of course, that means he needs to show up in a big way and give everything he’s got in order to secure a win.

What makes the potential contract with the UFC even more exciting is that Rosas Jr would then hold the title for the youngest fighter ever to sign.

Despite his promise and skill so far, beating Gutierrez won’t be a walk in the park. The 25-year-old has been fighting for a longer period, so he has much more experience and some rather impressive statistics. He will also be looking to attract White’s attention.

While there are still many unknowns when it comes to Rosas Jr, it could well be that he is a UFC star in the making!
