Richard Riakporhe Scores Eighth Round KO of Deion Jumah
In a battle of undefeated fighters, cruiserweight Richard Riakporhe (14-0, 10 KO’s) successfully bested Deion “The Ghost” Jumah (14-1 7 KO’s). Riakporhe accomplished this by dropping Jumah in the fifth then finishing him off later by way of eighth knockout. While the blow did not look all that devastating, Riakporhe’s killing blow was a right to the body that the Ghost could not recover from. This makes back-to-back knockout victories as Riakporhe stopped his last opponent, Olanrewaju Durodola, in the fifth period of their contest.
This was a great win for Riakporhe who entered the match ranked #7 (WBC), #11 (WBO) and #12 (IBF). With these standings, the Londoner will certainly continue his pursuit of a world title. Jumah was actually the fourth undefeated boxer that Riakporhe has beaten. Along with this, he has also collected the scalps of talents Tommy McCarthy and Chris Billiam-Smith. It will certainly be interesting to see what move the UK bruiser makes next.
