Richard Riakporhe to Bring his Best Against Krzysztof Glowacki

The cruiserweight division has been seeing plenty of action lately. Top contender Richard “The Midnight Train” Riakporhe (15-0, 11KO) is looking to bring his A-game against two-time champion Krzysztof Glowacki (32-3, 20KO).

The Midnight Train has been running through challengers in the division since 2016. He has collected the scalps of other contenders along the way by handing guys like Chris Billam-Smith, Jack Massey, and Deion Jumah their first career defeats.

RIAKPORHE KNOWS TO BRING HIS A-GAME

The 32-year-old British heavy-hitter is ready to challenge for a world title but will first need to get past the two-time champion. During an interview with Sky Sports Boxing, Riakporhe expressed that bringing his top game is a must against a fighter of Glowacki’s experience.

“I’m really pleased that he took the fight. Now I can test The Midnight Train once again . . . Krzysztof Glowacki, ex-world champion, so he’s not a pushover. Let’s just put it that way. So I have to be on my game. I have to be on my A-game.”

“It’s going to be fireworks believe me.”

The #2 IBF, #5 WBC, and #12 WBO ranked fighter was very candid about this being his final test before marching toward a title shot. In his last outing, Riakporhe ran over Fabio Turchi in two quick rounds with a perfectly placed left hook to the liver.

Fans can watch Riakporhe step back into the ring on January 21, 2023, on Sky Sports under the Boxxer promotional banner.
