Sandor Martin chewed on Kay Prosper for twelve rounds in defense of his European title

Spanish super lightweight boxer Sandor “Arrasandor” Martin (38-2, 13 KO’s) made the second defense his European title with ease. His foe, Kay “Special K” Prosper (14-2-1, 7 KO’s), tried his best but had no answers or adjustments that made any meaningful difference in the outcome. Following twelve complete rounds of utter domination, Martin won by way of a predictable unanimous decision.

Martin original picked up the vacant title back on July 27, 2019 when he stopped Andrea Scarpa in his native Barcelona. With the lopsided points win, Martin inches his way a little bit closer to a world title shot. At the moment, Arrasandor is ranked the #7 super lightweight by both the WBC and WBA. Although, it should be noted that to date Martin has only fought two bouts outside of his native Spain and never in the states.

NOTHING TO SEE HERE

As far as the fight went, Prosper did try his best to win but he simply was too ill-equipped to contend with the European champion. Special K did do a mediocre job of landing body shots and establishing a passable jab. If he had any success, it was on the inside where he scored the half-baked body blows. Outside of those meager accomplishments, there was nothing really good to say about his performance. Martin was able to rather easily dominate the bout on his backfoot while fighting at range.

Due to Prosper’s overall substandard skillset, Arrasandor lit him up with tight counter-hooks throughout the contest. Despite staggering and buzzing Special K, Martin was never able to put him on the canvas. If anything, this could be viewed as somewhat of a moral victory for the UK native. Sadly for him though, the actual victory was firmly awarded to Sandor Martin.
