Is Saunders – Andrade a “no go?”
Last week, the WBO ordered Billy Joe Saunders and Demetrius Andrade to start negotiations immediately. A 10-day negotiating window has been put in place to reach an agreement.
A purse bid has been set for July 25 but there is a strong possibility Eddie Hearn may go in a different direction.
We previously reported Andrade was in negotiations with Eddie Hearn for a multi-fight deal on DAZN. Yesterday, that agreement was officially announced at the DAZN kickoff press conference.
However, we did not know if the DAZN signing would effect a potential fight with Billy Joe Saunders. Well, it now appears that Saunders will not be Andrade’s next opponent.
Currently, there is no word on who his next fight will be with. Although, we are expecting it to be a lesser-known opponent. Tentatively, he will still feature on the October 6 card along with Jesse Vargas, Jarrell Miller, and Katie Taylor.
