Billy Joe Saunders has been added to the under-card of Warrington-Frampton
Former WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders will face Zoltan Sera on the under-card of Josh Warrington vs Carl Frampton.
Its been a year since Saunders last fought; beating David Lemieux by unanimous decision December 2017. He had been set to face Demetrius Andrade in October, however, was denied a license for the fight after failing a drug test.
Sera (32-17-1, 22KOs), a pro since 2013, is being brought in strictly as a tune-up. Saunders will be looking to salvage a disappointing 2018 with a win. Hopefully it will spring-board him back into title contention in 2019.
Assuming he wins on December 22 expect him to be in the mix for fights with Canelo Alvarez, Demetrius Andrade, Daniel Jacobs and Gennady Golovkin!
