Savannah Marshall was Unimpressed with Claressa Shield’s Win Over Ema Kozin!
In her latest trial by combat, multi-division undisputed champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (12-0, 2 KO’s) took care of business. The back-to-back gold medalist traveled to the Motorpoint Arena located in Cardiff, United Kingdom and abused her woefully over-matched challenger Ema Kozin.
The win, as expected, has allowed the three-divisional champ to punch her ticket for a June showdown with amateur rival and WBO middleweight champion Savannah Marshall.
THE HISTORY
The long-anticipated showdown between these two rivals has reached an all-time high. It’s a story that has been repeated throughout the boxing community. Marshall is the only person to have ever handed Shields a loss, amateur and professional combined.

Shields hears and reads this on social media repeatedly no matter where she goes or how accomplished her professional career has been. The whispers of that lone defeat have haunted the Flint, Michigan Native and she cannot wait to avenge it. Both champions have been involved in heated exchanges on social media leading up to a projected June meeting.
In 2021, social media blew up every time the two arch-nemesis tangled in verbal combat. Needless to say when T-rex signed with Sky Sports, fans rejoiced in knowing that finally Shields and Marshall would settle their beef in the ring. But first, both champions have to get past their current opponents before the super-fight can take place.

TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS
The G.W.O.A.T took care of business by dispatching undefeated fight Ema Kozin on all three judges’ scorecards without losing a round. Then the moment everyone has been waiting for, as the two champions were face-to-face and things got hotter than summertime in a Texas house with no air conditioning!
THE COMMENT THAT KICKED IT OFF
During the post-fight interview, Marshall awaited ringside, and the two champions shared a moment of respect. However, this quickly went out the window when the WBO champion assessed her rival’s performance.
“If you perform like that against me I will absolutely wipe the floor with you!”
