Chris Eubank Scores Multiple Knockdowns, Decisions Liam Williams!

In the main event at Motorpoint Arena, United Kingdom, WLS, Cardiff, former world title challengers Chris “NextGen” Eubank Jr (32-2, 23KOs) and Liam “The Machine” Williams (23-4-1, 18KOs) settled their personal beef. It’s no secret that these two men can’t stand one another.

Eubank Jr, who’s ranked #5 in the WBO, # 3 in the WBC, and # 1 in the WBA, traveled to enemy territory and thoroughly dominated his rival in the first half of the fight, before letting his foot off the gas. Being trained by all-time great Roy Jones Jr., he displayed all the mannerisms of his trainer.

MAKING IT LOOK EASY!

After a relatively uneventful opening round, Eubank Jr. landed a nice left jab that would send Williams down to the canvas. The athletic Eubank would continue to flash speed and power as he would score another knockdown, this time via a hard right-hand. In rounds three and four, he continued to abuse Williams, dropping The Machine with a jab in round four!

Known for his confidence and trash talk, Eubank resorted to that after dominating the first half of the fight. However, this strategy was ill-advised as it allowed a clearly overwhelmed Williams to fight his way back into the fight. Despite his physical prowess, he is not Roy Jones Jr., not even close. It’s best he tightens up on his focus and discipline, especially if he wants to become a world champion.

In the fight competition, Eubank Jr. was announced as the winner via a unanimous decision with scores of 116-109, 116-108, and 117-109.
