Seniesa Estrada Itching for Unification Fight with Yokasta Valle
One of the best potential matchups in boxing is a showdown between unified women’s minimumweight champions Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada (25-0, 9 KOs) and Yokasta Valle (28-2, 9 KOs). As far as Estrada is concerned, Valle is in for the beating of her life.
MAKING IT VERY CLEAR
Estrada is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Leonela Yudica on July 28 in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the post-fight interview, Estrada didn’t mince words about who she would like to face in her next fight.
“I want Yokasta Valle next. I heard she’s here tonight. I want Yokasta Valle. I’m the best in this division and I want to prove it by beating Yokasta Valle. I mean, she can just hand me those belts right now because when we fight, it’s gonna be bad, bad for her.”
Valle was ringside for the fight and joined Estrada during the post-fight interview, where the ladies engaged in some back-and-forth trash-talk.
The two world champions at 105 have established themselves as the best in the division. Both want to fight each other, but there are no signs that the fight is close to a reality.
HURDLES TO JUMP OVER
Part of the issue could be promoters Golden Boy and Top Rank. Valle fights for Golden Boy Promotions. Estrada previously parted ways with the promotional company and signed a deal with Top Rank in July 2022.
The two promotional giants have worked together in the past. One would think they could come together and make a battle between Estrada and Valle for what would be the undisputed status at 105.
They are two fighters in their primes. Boxing enthusiasts hope the fight will occur sooner rather than later. Should they ever meet, Estrada had the following message for her rival:
“It’s gonna be an ass beating when I fight her. Not only am I beating her, I’m beating her trainer, and I’m beating Golden Boy Promotions. Super Bad all day, let’s go!”
