Amanda Serrano Beats Overmatched Reina Tellez

To kick off 2026, seven-division and unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (48-4-1, 31 KO’s) defeated determined opponent Reina Tellez (13-1-1, 5 KO’s) by way of UD. Despite being a late replacement and only having two weeks to prepare, Tellez proved to be a durable and gritty adversary.

Regardless of her moxie, the vast gulf in skill and experience separating the two was far too great for Tellez to overcome. As a result, Serrano was able to smother her relatively green foe in a diverse, high-volume melody of head and body shots. Once all the dust had settled and The Real Deal was crowned the victor, each was gracious in extending praise and admiration to the other.

Having defended her title, the next natural question was raised: “Who is next?” As the unified featherweight champion, The Real Deal is not without options. First and foremost are her two fellow champions, Nina Meinke (IBF) and Tiara Brown (WBC). Not only did she did reference the champions, Serrano made it known her first mind was to address those talented title holders in combat.

Bearing these potential courses of action in mind, its apparent that we will just have to wait and see what is next for the Puerto Rican princess. While it may be true that her next target is a mystery, there is no doubt that The Real Deal will be in the ring again sooner rather than later.
