Hamzah Sheeraz Welcomes a Fight with Amir Khan!
Middleweight prospect Hamzah Sheeraz (17-0, 13KO) and retired former world champion Amir Khan have been engaging in verbal attacks. Sheeraz prefers to settle it in the ring after hearing Khan mention punching him on sight.
In a bizarre turn, these two have gone from having a good relationship to enemies attacking each other. The most confusing part is that British boxing fans are puzzled, as this literally came out of nowhere.
WHAT MAY HAVE STARTED IT ALL?
During an interview with iD Boxing, Khan called the young prospect arrogant and ignorant, surprising the fans.
“I don’t really follow much of his career, to be honest with you, so I don’t know much about him. I think he’s a bit arrogant, to be honest with you, as a fighter and ignorant, to be honest.”

These comments followed after Sheeraz’s second round destruction over River Wilson- Bent. The prideful middleweight responded by saying Khan has head trauma still from being knocked out by Canelo Alvarez in 2016.
Khan responded in another interview with a United Kingdom newspaper, accusing Sheeraz of disrespecting him behind his back. Furthermore, he threatened to punch the #10 (WBO) and #12 (WBC) rated prospect, if necessary.
“I will stick it on you if I have to.”

IS SHEERAZ BEING CAUGHT IN A FAMILY FEUD?
During an interview with iFL TV, Sheeraz went into more detail about how he has gotten entangled in a personal family matter.
“The only disrespectful thing I’ve done probably was the (Canelo) tweet I did, and you’ve got to remember that was off the first reaction of seeing the interview.”
“If you look at all my interviews I’ve done, since I’ve been a pro . . . it’s been nothing but praise . . . so in terms of disrespect, arrogance, and all of that, in all honesty, I don’t know where that’s come from.”
“Personally speaking, I think it’s because his uncle Taz works with me . . . whatever family feud or issue they’ve got between them, I’ve obviously been caught in the crossfire.”

As for Khan wanting to go hands, Sheeraz likes the idea only if it is going to be in the ring.
“I’m not a street fighter. I am a boxer. I fight in the ring . . . if that’s how he wants to stick it on me, then so be it. I’m all for it.”
