Callum Smith vs Gilberto Ramirez is in the works!
According to Eddie Hearn, there’s a possibility we could see a unification bout between WBA super middleweight champion Callum Smith and WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez. This fight, if made, would match two undefeated champions together.
Smith, who’s promoted by Hearn, hasn’t fought since last year where he defeated George Groves to win the WBA title and the World Boxing Super Series tournament. His expected ring return of June had been set for months.
As for Ramirez, he’ll be making his light heavyweight debut on the under-card of Vasyl Lomachenko vs Anthony Crolla this April 12. Back in December, Ramirez edged Jesse Hart by split decision to retain his title in their rematch.
Hopefully we get this fight because it would surely produce fireworks. 3kingsboxing.comwill continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
