Errol Spence vs Shawn Porter unification is coming to a television near you this summer!
In what is a major power move, Errol Spence (25-0, 21KOs) will put his title on the line against WBC champion Shawn Porter (30-2-1, 17KOs).
This will be a huge PPV and put the winner in the running for 2019 fighter of the year. Shawn Porter was very adamant that he had no plans on fighting the IBF champ before a rematch with WBA champion Keith Thurman.
An undeterred Spence Jr would proceed to make the biggest fights available to him. The Texas native would go to the UK and defeat then-IBF champion Kell Brook, then fight Lamont Peterson, and follow that up with a win over P4P stalwart Mikey Garcia.
For all fighters looking to maximize their careers, this should be a lesson. Take the best available fights at all times. As for Shawn Porter, he’s built himself a solid resume as well and is a two time champion.
The details of this bout are still being worked out, so there’s no official date and venue set. We at 3kingsboxing.comwill keep you posted as this story develops.
