One-time junior welterweight title challenger Steve “The Dragon” Claggett (39-8-2, 27KO) scored a fourth-round stoppage against Eduardo “La Pesadilla” Estela (16-4, 11KO) in front of the home crowd.

Looking to get back into the title hunt, The Dragon applied pressure and landed shots to the body early. He did a good job of cutting off the ring and kept La Pesidilla on the backfoot.

In the third round, Claggett didn’t give his opponent a chance to breathe and landed a vicious left hook that put Estela on the canvas. He scored another knockdown off another painful body shot that hurt the Uruguayan again.

After being told by his corner to close the show, he went to work and landed an uppercut that put Estela on the canvas for a third and final time. The referee stopped the fight as the visitor couldn’t continue.

Despite being 35 years old, Claggett is a good enough fighter who could give anyone in the bottom half of the rankings a run for their money.
