Shakur Stevenson Promises to Dominate Robson Conceicao!

When it comes to WBO and WBC super featherweight champion “Fearless” Shakur Stevenson (18-0, 9 KO’s), there is no doubt he is talented. Going a step further, Fearless is widely regarded as one of the premiere boxing talents of this generation. Despite the oodles of talent that he is dripping with however, many among the boxing public don’t care for his style of fighting. However, a the young champion is promising a different showing in his upcoming bout with Robson “Nino” Conceicao (17-1, 8 KO’s).

Rather than inflicting brutalization and collecting a quick knockout, Fearless is more apt to be seen using his craft to defeat opponents down the stretch. Although, the unified champion is foreseeing a grand adjustment in his fighting style when facing Conceicao. As he revealed to Fight Hype, in Nino, Stevenson believes that his adversary is hopelessly overmatched.

“I am going to be the first person to dominate him, I know I am going to be the first person to dominate him! […] he mastered his difficult style, he is good at being difficult but I don’t see him beating me!”

While he is oozing with confidence, the New Jersey native is not going to make the mistake of overlooking the #2 (WBO) and #3 (WBC) ranked Conceicao. This is probably a great thing considering that Conceicao is highly motivated to win the fight. The Brazilian is only one fight removed from his sole professional defeat at the hands of Oscar Valdez. Another quick loss to Stevenson would be disastrous to Nino.

“I’m not looking past this dude! I think that this dude is a solid fighter and he does some things really good. You have to be prepared for what he got going on, on that night. So I am not looking past him.”

Yet, cautious or not, Fearless believes the audience will be on the edge of their seat come fight night when they see what he has in store for Conceicao!

“I definitely will be on the front foot. I think this will be more so an offensive Shakur Stevenson. Fans get ready, y’all about to get what y’all want!”
