New venue, state and opponent announcement possible soon

Could Gennady Golovkin get a new venue with his fight coming up on May 5th? 3KingsBoxing.com has learned that 360/K2 promotions are looking to change the venue of the fight.

They are looking to possibly relocate the event to the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen, an announcement on the fight itself is expected to come within the next 24 to 48 hours according to sources.

Opponents that are being mentioned are Gary O’Sullivan and Jamie Mungia, who was previously denied by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. A move to California opens the door for Munguia to possibly be approved.

However a dark horse has come up as they are looking at Sergiy Derevyanchenko as a possible replacement as well. Folks can expect an announcement on venue and opponent within the next 24 to 48 hours as we already mentioned.
