Team Usyk Accuses Tyson Fury Of Trying to Escape Heavyweight Undisputed Fight!

According to Alex Krassyuk of Team Usyk, promoter of reigning unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), a much-anticipated showdown with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) is in serious jeopardy of not happening. The reason stems from a back-and-forth about the insertion of a rematch clause.

RUNNING SCARED?

The WBC champion is demanding there be no rematch clause for either himself or Usyk. Speaking to TalkSport, Krassyuk says that this is all a tactic from The Gypsy King and that he doesn’t want the fight.

“As Usyk said, the greedy belly is still hoping to find a way to pull out. We knew before and know it now. As soon as Usyk accepts a no-rematch clause, there will still be searching for another thing to find and pull out the fight.”

“It’s all about nothing. He’s not prepared and scared to fight. He will try to find a way to avoid Usyk for as long as possible. We don’t trust him, we don’t believe him. One more thing to know, when we started the negotiations, Fury’s side was the first to ask for the rematch.”

ONGOING DRAMA BETWEEN TEAM USYK AND TEAM FURY

It’s the latest in an extended saga to make this fight a reality. It appeared that all parties were close to finalizing a deal for the fight to happen on April 29. This was after Fury demanded a 70-30 percent split in his favor. Usyk went public to call his bluff and accepted the offer. Now there is yet another barrier.

Krassyuk feels that Fury is not ready to fight on April 29. When asked directly if the fight happens, the promoter said the following:

“Whatever we accept from Fury, it will not leave us with a fight, he will escape it anyway . . . The man is trying to escape.”

“Usyk wants this fight badly. He cannot fight just by himself, he needs an opponent in the ring . . . His opponent is ducking him. I don’t feel this fight will happen on April 29. Whatever conditions, Usyk will accept.”

The efforts to make this super fight a reality are playing out like a soap opera. All the fans want is for the two best heavyweights in the world to fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship. Whether it occurs is anyone’s guess at this point. Stay tuned to 3kingsboxing.com for continued updates.
