Fury Wants the Rematch Clause Off The Table for Usyk Undisputed Bout

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (33-0-1, 24KO) has added demands in the negotiations for undisputed against unified champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13KO). He now wants Usyk to drop all mentions of a rematch clause from the contract.

The drama continues with the negotiations for undisputed as fans are growing weary of the constant back and forth. Frustrated over Team Usyk calling him greedy, The Gypsy King took to social media issuing a take it or leave it statement, giving them only 30%.

The boxing community was shocked when the unified champion called Fury’s bluff by accepting the offer. This gesture came at the right time because it prevented the WBA from ordering Usyk versus WBA Regular champion Daniel Dubois.

TYSON FURY WANTS THE REMATCH CLAUSE TAKEN AWAY FOR BOTH SIDES

With both teams scrabbling to get together a contract for the fighters to sign, it seems Fury has another demand concerning the rematch clause. The WBC champion went on social media again, requesting both sides to take out the rematch clause, altogether.

“Hi, Tyson Fury here, just a quick one. I’ve been speaking to the lawyers, and Usyk’s people is talking about rematch clauses and all that bollocks. Here’s one to up the antes. How bout there is no fucking rematch clause for both of us.”

“Let’s up the antes completely . . . no rematch clause, the winner takes the glory. The loser goes home with his dick in his hand. How bout that? Agree to that you fucking bitch!”

At this point, fans are undoubtedly shaking their heads, knowing this could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. With a fight of this magnitude, there is no way a promoter will permit their fighter to accept a contract with no rematch clause. 3kingsboxing.com will stay with this story and continue to provide any further updates.
