Patrick Teixeira cruises to easy unanimous decision victory over Nathaniel Gallimore!
From the onset of this fight Teixeira was in control, the southpaw from Brazil came out behind his jab setting the distance and forcing Gallimore to jump in off balance to try and land effective shots.
Teixeira landed some nice right hooks and overhand lefts that appeared to bother Gallimore early in the fight. His foot movement was key as he would pivot and turn his overly aggressive opponent, throwing off his rhythm in the process.
As the fight wore on, it was evident that Gallimore would need a KO to win this fight. His corner emphatically tried to get him to let his hands go especially to the body with no luck.
In what was thought to be a dangerous fight for Teixeira turned out to be anything but that.
He improves his record to (29-1, 22KOs) winning a unanimous decision 78-74×3.
Teixeira has stated that he wants a big name in his next fight. With an impressive wi tonight it’s likely he’ll get that chance.
