Skye Nicolson and Tiara Brown Are On a Collision Course
Australian native and the reigning WBC women’s featherweight champion Skye Nicolson (11-0, 1 KO) feels she’s the future of the division. WBC mandatory challenger Tiara “The Dark Menace” Brown (17-0, 11 KOs) has the same mindset. The ladies are ready to prove who is the superior fighter in the ring.
Nicholson is coming off an easy unanimous win over Dyana Vargas on the undercard of Jaron Ennis versus David Avanesyan on July 13. The WBC champion said the following during the post-fight interview:
“There’s huge, great fights to be made in the featherweight division. Raven Chapman, Tiara Brown, I want the smoke, let’s go!”
After hearing her name called out, Brown quickly responded, posting the following message on social media.
READY TO FIGHT
Nicolson won the vacant WBC belt with a unanimous decision victory over unanimous decision victory over Sarah Mahfoud in April 2024. The Dark Menace became the mandatory contender by *shutting out Gabriela Bouvier in June 2024.
A southpaw, the Aussie likes to rely on her speed, reflexes, and outstanding hand-eye coordination and beat you with skill. Brown is a power boxer. While the resident of Lehigh Acres, Florida can also box, she’s more than willing to come forward and punish you with a withering body attack.
The Dark Menace wants the chance to put a dark cloud on Nicolson and end her championship reign. Nicolson is hungry to silence Brown once and for all. This seems to be an inevitable matchup. Look for it to occur before the end of the year.
