If you’re interested in betting on UFC fights then you first need to know which fighters are worth staking your money on. Women’s UFC has massively grown in popularity and clout in recent years, and to help you get to grips with the landscape, we have put together a list of the top 10 most badass women’s UFC fighters of all-time. Here goes!
10. Germaine De Randamie
Record: 10 wins – 4 losses – 0 draws
At number 10, we have the Dutch giant Germaine De Randamie, otherwise known as the “Iron Lady”. Her nickname makes perfect sense when you see her 10-4 UFC record since her debut in 2012. Randamie is a huge presence in the ring. She is 5’8″ in height, 135 pounds in weight and has a reach of a massive 71’’. At the age of 36 she has used her size and experience to gain herself a spot on our list.
9. Zhang Weili
Record: 21 wins -1 loss – 0 draws
At 9, Weili Zhang or “Fury” as she is sometimes known is the only Chinese national on our list. Aged 32, she makes her 5’4’’ height and 63’’ reach go a long way in the UFC Women’s Strawweight division. Of her 21 wins to date, 10 have been by knockout, giving her a 48% KO ratio!
8. Holly Holm
Record: 14 wins – 5 losses – 0 draws
There is nothing sweet and dainty about the “Preacher’s Daughter”! Our number 8 fighter has 14 wins under her belt and has fought a total of 62 rounds in her career against some of the top fighters out there. This Bantamweight fighter has a height of 5’8’’ and a reach of 68’’ and has won by knockout 8 times whilst having only been knocked out once herself!
7. Jessica Andrade
Record: 22 wins – 9 losses – 0 draws
Jessica Andrade is not the only Brazilian female UFC fighter on our list…more on the other one later! However, this Latino has made huge waves in the sport. With a height of 5’1’’, a weight of 125 pounds and a reach of 62’’, she has managed to win 9 of her 22 wins by knockout and 7 by submission. All by the age of only 30!
6. Cris Justino
Record: 24 wins – 2 losses – 0 draws
Justino, otherwise known as “Cyborg”, has been one of the most feared female fighters for over a decade and has a track record to support it! With 19 of her 24 wins coming by knockout, there is no question she is one of the hardest punches across the female MMA scene.
She would probably be number one on our list if we we’re talking about MMA. However, this is a list of the top female UFC fighters and so Cyborg comes in at a very respectable 6.
5. Joanna Jedrzejczyk
Record: 16 wins – 4 losses – 0 draws
Now we enter our top 5 and the Polish fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk has only ever been beaten by opponents on this list! She rises to all the big occasions and has fought 5 title defenses. At 34 years-old she is currently ranked number two in the women’s Strawweight division and certainly deserves her place on our list.
4. Rose Namajunas
Record: 9 wins – 4 losses – 0 draws
At number 4 it is the fresh young hope for US Women’s fighting, 29 year old Rose Namajunas. Also known as “Thug Rose” for a reason, this incredibly talented fighter is the only woman in history to win a division’s title twice. Since her debut in 2013, she has fought 35 rounds with an average fight length of 2.7 rounds She has won by knockout once ( giving her an 11% KO ratio) and by submission 5 times (56% ratio). She has been knocked out herself once, but is the current UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion!
3. Ronda Rousey
Record: 12 wins – 2 losses – 0 draws
Our third best women’s UFC fighter isn’t actually fighting at the moment as she has stopped to raise her daughter. However, Ronda Rousey made a huge impact on the sport during her career and was very involved in helping it gain credibility, funding and publicity during female UFC’s early days. All of her Octagon appearances were huge title fights! Even her losses were pretty darn hardcore. She is a true celebrity in the UFC world.
2. Valentina Shevchenko
Record: 22 wins – 3 losses – 0 draws
Now, at number 2 we have a fighter who many would say deserves the top spot. But this Kyrgyzstan national, and current UFC women’s Flyweight champion, loses out only because she has lost to our top girl in two very closely fought battles. Still, Shevchenko is one of the all-time greats and since her debut in 2003 she has fought all the key fighters and won by knockout 8 times.
1. Amanda Nunes
Record: 21 wins – 4 losses – 0 draws
Which only leaves…you guessed it! Amanda Nunes, aka “The Lioness”, was the only female fighter who was ever going to get our top spot. This Brazilian warrior has beaten practically every fighter on our list and anyone who is anyone in the women’s UFC hall of fame. She is one of the best female combat sports athletes of all-time. Now that’s a knock out!
