Two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Robeisy Ramirez to sign with Top Rank
It appears that Top Rank is about to lock down another amateur standout who’s ready to turn pro.
3kingsboxing.com has learned that two-time olympic gold medalist Robeisy Ramirez is in the process of signing a multi-fight deal.
If the deal gets finalized, Ramirez would join the very guy he beat in the 2016 Olympic gold medal match, Shakur Stevenson as part of the Top Rank stable. He also won Olympic gold in 2012 when he Michael Conlan and Tugstsogt Nyambayar.
Ramirez also participated in the World Series of Boxing in between winning two gold medals before defecting from Cuba in July of 2018.
This signing is huge for Top Rank, who already promotes Stevenson and Conlan. He is slated to debut at bantamweight which is two divisions below both men.
However, big fights among these three men could be on tap in the future.
