The European Boxing Union (EBU) orders Fabio Turchi vs Tervel Pulev!

There is a Cruiserweight bout that could introduce a new player within the division.

3kingsboxing has learned the EBU has ordered a title fight between Fabio Turchi (15-0, 11 KOs) and Tervel Pulev (11-0, 10 KOs).

Turchi, a 25 year-old Italian southpaw, is a protege of former undisputed Cruiserweight and Heavyweight World Champion Evander Holyfied.

He currently holds the WBC International Silver title. Besides being the better boxer, he is also a vicious body puncher. A victory could see him finally garnering some spotlight in the division.

Pulev is the 35 year-old younger brother of heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev. This will be his first title shot – minor or major.

Although he is advanced in age when it comes to the sport, he didn’t start his professional career until 2016. Also, he is the 2012 Olympic bronze medalist fighting at heavyweight. He lost in the semifinals to eventual gold medalist and now undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Having knockout ten of his eleven opponents, his punching power obviously shouldn’t be overlooked.

Both mean have faced limited opposition, with virtually identical features in height and reach.

August 9 is the deadline for both sides to come to an agreement before a purse bid is ordered.
